Warranty terms

This translation is provided for convenience. The signed warranty card is the authoritative document if any wording differs.

  1. HENSFORT Sp. z o.o. (the Seller) provides the Buyer with a quality guarantee for the goods sold under the terms of this Warranty Card. The warranty period is:

    • 5 years — PVC windows and balcony doors
    • 3 years — Aluminium windows and balcony doors
    • 2 years — PVC and aluminium entrance doors
    • 1 year — Garage doors, fire-rated joinery, shutters, drives and the accessories listed in the terms.
  2. The warranty period starts on the date the goods are handed over to the Buyer. If the Buyer does not collect the ordered goods by the contractual collection date, the warranty period starts on the day after 30 days have elapsed from the collection date specified in the contract.

  3. During the warranty period, the Seller will remedy defects by repairing the defective product or replacing it with a defect-free product. A defective product that has been replaced becomes the Seller’s property. The Seller chooses how to perform its warranty obligations.

  4. This warranty does not cover defects resulting from:

    • incorrect installation
    • use or maintenance contrary to the use and maintenance instructions
    • mechanical, thermal or chemical damage, or permanent stains occurring after delivery to the Buyer
    • instability in the wall structure in which the joinery is installed
    • damage to paint coatings or foil caused by inadequate room ventilation during wet construction work
    • leaving protective film on the products for more than three months from the date of purchase
    • installation of components that may affect the correct operation or durability of the joinery
    • repairs performed by unauthorised persons
    • transport arranged improperly by the Buyer
    • use contrary to the intended purpose
  5. The warranty does not cover:

    • visible defects not reported when the products were accepted, including discrepancies in dimensions, sash divisions or functions, and colour
    • parts subject to normal wear and tear
    • glass or wood-effect foil texture variations permitted by the applicable manufacturer/supplier standard
    • external doors installed without shelter and exposed directly to sunlight and precipitation
    • condensation or frost on glass caused by poor ventilation
    • interference patterns caused by light refraction in glass
    • stains on glazing units while they are misted
    • mechanical damage to the glass insert
    • glass cracking caused by thermal stress
    • products purchased as non-full-value goods
  6. The Seller is not responsible for the accuracy of dimensions, sash divisions, window functions or glazing type specified by the Buyer.

  7. The warranty does not require the Seller to carry out adjustments or maintenance described in the use and maintenance instructions.

  8. Joinery must not be stored outdoors without shelter where it is exposed directly to sunlight, wind, rain or similar conditions.

  9. A claim must be reported promptly after a defect is discovered.

  10. Claims must be submitted directly at the place of purchase.

  11. Defects reported during the warranty period will be remedied within 30 days of receipt of the written claim. Claim-form templates are available at points of sale and on www.hensfort.com. The Seller may extend this period if an inspection or expert assessment is required, or if non-standard components are used.

  12. A claim must be supported by the Buyer’s signed warranty card and proof of purchase showing the purchase date and bearing the Seller’s signature and stamp. The Buyer loses warranty rights if the card lacks required dates or signatures, or if unauthorised changes have been made to it.

  13. A duplicate warranty card will not be issued if the original is lost.

  14. This warranty does not exclude, limit or suspend the Buyer’s rights arising from non-conformity of the goods with the contract.

  15. The Seller states that this warranty complies with Directive (EU) 2019/771 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 May 2019 on certain aspects concerning contracts for the sale of goods.

  16. The warranty is valid in the country where the purchase was made. The Buyer confirms receipt of the product in good condition, without visible defects, together with the installation and use/maintenance instructions, and accepts these warranty terms.
